Over the past five years, that conviction has found a natural home at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

Carlos was first introduced to the hospital through CEO Caitlin Stella. Over time, the two developed a close friendship, and Carlos grew a deep respect for her leadership and the team she has built. He was immediately struck by the hospital’s commitment to delivering world-class care close to home. “The opportunity to support children and families within my own community resonated deeply,” he reflects.

After visiting the hospital and witnessing its impact firsthand, Carlos became a legacy donor, making an annual pledge as a member of the Dream Builders Society. He later expanded his commitment by establishing a life insurance policy benefiting the hospital—creating a structured, long-term gift designed to support its future growth and mission.

His connection to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital also became personal. When his son required care, Carlos experienced the hospital’s patient-centered approach from the inside. “They treat every child like a VIP,” he says.

Having seen the hospital from both perspectives—as a donor and as a parent—Carlos’s conviction has only strengthened. “They’re doing a great job. They walk the walk,” he says. “That’s why I’m proud to invest in the future of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.”
